Teeth can really fuck you up. Have you ever felt pain so great you can see a light behind your eyelids? Or an ache so deep you can feel yourself leaving your body? If you haven’t yet, you probably will.

The body is precious and terrible—a beautiful machine slowly breaking down to dust. Miraculous frailty gives way to the carnal pleasures and shrieking horrors that is the flesh.

Taking care of ourselves can get away from us. Sometimes the repercussions don’t unveil themselves for years. However, when they do, our sanity and strength can be tested beyond belief.

OF HORRID ACHE AND PERFECT ASCENSION is a collaborative single between Memorrhage and Black Stag Rising. It will rise against the summit that is physical suffering and drags us up the mountain with it. Garry is the kind of artist who delivers both quantity AND quality: working on many projects with a consistently great (and varied) output. Gonemage is probably my favorite, Master of Disgust and Handheld Demise in particular are freaking masterpieces, and some of the most fun and interesting music I've personally heard in recent years. I'm excited for the full release of Astral Corridors, it's likely to land a spot in my top albums of 2023. Kris Faust
